Go Lassie Go is a song made famous  in America by the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem.  The Frobisher Bay Volunteers, formed in 1965, sang it up and down the Hudson Valley, New York, while they attended Marist College.  The group was well known from Albany to Long Island.

Four Strong Winds By The Frobisher Bay Volunteers

Four Strong Winds

The Harmonies in this song are tightly woven and well sung.  Jack Burke is the music director and was able to fit five harmonies together.  This song has 4, since Rich McKay was unable to join us the day we recorded.

I have to thank kmocoffee.com for supporting this effort.  I know everyone is very busy but the support is much appreciated.

Four Green Fields By Tommy Makem Sung By Frobisher Bay Volunteers

Four Green Fields

Tommy Makem wrote this magnificent song about the troubles in Ireland, now, in 2008, largely behind us.  Tommy died a few months back and I put the song I’d sung in 1989 together with some slides.  Its sung by Bob Johnson, who also played Guitar.

This song is also posted on YouTube with a 5 star rating and over 4200 hits.
